Defend Hawaii is a locally owned and operated Hawaii streetwear and lifestyle brand established in 2009. We sell our merchandise direct online and we are in 16 retail stores statewide. Defend Hawaii drops 7-8 catalogs each year. We pride ourselves on staying true to our roots through intentional designs and giving back to our community through collaborations with the University of Hawaii, Hui Aloha Aina Momona, Hawaii Foodbank, Giving Hope Hawaii, youth sports programs, university Hawaii club non-profits nationwide, etc. Check out our outreach here.
Defending Hawai'i means preserving our island traditions, motifs, and heritage from those who wish to appropriate and commodify them. Valuing both Native Hawaiian culture, and that of the local melting pot of races who call Hawai'i home, our designs seek to illustrate and perpetuate authentic Hawaiian culture.
